Wedding in Washington

My Aunt Julie got married this weekend. All of us traveled up to Rochester, WA to be apart of some Kirby Family Fun!! It is about a 3 hour drive from our home. This is the longest car ride Ruby or Adam have ever been on. Thanks to DVD's and treats Ruby did surprisingly well. Adam has not reached the age of bribery yet, so he had a more difficult time.

Ruby got a kick out of our "new house". She tried out all the beds and chairs like little red riding hood. We confirmed our idea of needing a 3 bedroom house. A family of light sleepers do not belong in the same room, but we toughed it out for one night.

The wedding was at 5:30 pm, so we had a whole morning to explore and tired the children out for a good nap. Stephen "googled" the area and found a historical spot with several parks. Here we are at the Tumwater Falls. Adam seemed to enjoy himself.

After Ruby had a good 2.5 hour nap. It was time to head to the wedding.

Ruby loved being a flower girl. She got to eat a sucker while I straightened and braided her hair. Once her basket with petals were handed to her, she was eager to begin throwing. 

Happy "Princess Ruby". This was what she called herself.

This was the wedding party which consisted of:
Uncle Kevin, Cousin Chelsea, (New Uncle) Frank, Aunt Julie, Uncle Kenny and Ruby.

Ruby was having more fun then anyone there. It was good to see her let her guard down in front of unfamiliar people. Ruby went down the isle at a good pace, threw just the right amount of petals and went all the way to the front with very little coaxing. She made me proud :)
